The august occasion initiated with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by readings from the Holy scriptures. Rev. Fr. Anthony Williams blessed the school, staff and students. Songs and Bhajans echoed all around.
The pride felt in the heart and soul of each Notre Dame School member was immense when Mr.A.K.Jha (A.G.M. – HR) on behalf of the G.M., Mr. Debashish Sarkar declared the Siver Jubilee open. The band display and the school choir added to the jubilance. Sr. Mary Ranjita the foundress Principal unveiled the Silver Jubilee Logo which portrayed the unity of mind, body and soul. The logo suggested to all – to create a world without boundaries.
Sr. Mary Alice expressed her thanks to all the previous principals – Sr, Mary Ranjita, Sr. Mary Beena and Sr. Mary Hema for their contribution. She made all familiar to the different milestones achieved in the past glorious 25 years. She thanked the N.T.P.C. authorities, staff and students also for their unconditional support.
The students put up a variety of items each of which unequivocally established the universally recognised fact that ventures of such magnitude are seldom successful unless we have mass involvement. Dances with different themes were showcased, just to mention a few – fusion dance, prop dance, east meets west dance, senoritta dance, umbrella and Japanese fan dance etc held the spectators spell bound.
The play ‘ideal Husband’ by Oscar Wilde demonstrated the pivotal thought of an ideal husband which has been an inherent component of various matrimonial philosophies since time immemorial. The subtle wit and humor was enjoyed very well.
A sensitively rendered ‘TALK SHOW’ had the audiences catching glimpses of the milestones attained so far.
In a touching gesture Sr. Mary Reena ( Headmistress) expressed her pleasure to be a part of such an historic event. In her address she felicitated staff and students on their commendable performance in academics and activities. She felt it was only possible because of the commitment and dedication of the Principal, staff, parents and students.
The finale was the school song as all sent a silent prayer to the almighty above to keep the Notre Dame School flag flying high!
