Children’s day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of “Chacha Nehru”, the first Prime Minister of India.
On 14th of November Notre Dame Teachers could be seen in ‘Haute Couture’ attires ready to entertain and pamper the kids in the campus. The day started with a prayer by Sister Mary Reena, our Head Mistress, by invoking God’s blessings on Children all around the world.
Speaking about the function that followed, it was a blend of traditional and contemporary music and dance starting from Kashmir’s ‘Bhumro Bhumro….’ to Kanyakumari’s ‘Kolaveri D’. The finale was an orchestra band with the latest numbers that send the students tapping foot and dancing. It was a day of loads of fun that every child truly deserve. Principal Sister Mary Alice surprised the students with a group song.
The day ended with stuffing the tummy
With sweets and savories yummy
Kids returned home with faces sunny
And thoughts happy and funny.

On the 18th of October Notre Dame Staff and students showcased their love and gratitude towards their Principal Sr.Mary Alice and Headmistress Sr.Mary Reena. The day started with Ganesh Vandana followed by a cultural bonanza. All the bulletin Boards in the school corridors displayed the different attributes of the sisters. Bouquets and cards were handed with great love by the students. The staff had arranged a get-together for the sisters. Both the sisters felt overwhelmed and thanked the staff and students. Sister Alice requested the students to make the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ (started by our P.M., Mr.Narendra Modi) a success. She said “cleanliness drive” is not an event. It is a habit”.
