Fire Safety Day Observed

Wednesday, 09/04/2014 was observed as Fire Safety Day. Students of Notre Dame were educated by C.I.S.F. Officers on the topic. Demonstration was given on the use of L.P.G. Cylinder at home and how to help the injured. Some points were given on disaster management and the four grades of fire A,B,C and D.

Essay competition and Painting competition were held on the topic ‘Fire safety is the best insurance’. Everyone realised that fire is a good servant and a bad master!

Seminar for Parents

On Sunday 6th April 2014 at 4.00 p.m. a seminar was conducted by a renowned educator and social activist Fr.Varghese Alengoden from ‘Dharmabharati’, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The purpose of the seminar was to equip the parents to guide the children in matters of study in developing confidence and contributing towards society. There was an overwhelming response from the parent community who felt blessed to be educated by Fr.Varghese on various issues.

Enrichment Programme for Teachers

On 31/03/2014 a seminar was conducted by the Principal, Sr.Mary Alice for the teachers of Notre Dame to set the tone for the new academic year 2014-2015. Sister reminded the teachers of the immense responsibilities they had towards their students and the society. She also made the teachers aware of their abilities and potentialities. Code of conduct was planned for the new session to be abided by one and all!
